This morning, I watched Mia sitting on the play mat with her favorite toy - her green, see-through resin teether. It’s funny how she always reaches for that one, ignoring all the other colorful toys. She grabs it with both hands and brings it straight to her mouth, those tiny little gums working away at the cool, smooth surface. Sometimes, I can see her staring through the teether at the ceiling, fascinated by the way the light shines through the green resin and dances on her hands.
After her morning nap, Mia was a bit fussy, but as soon as I handed her the green teether, she settled down right away. She likes to hold it up and watch the sunlight make patterns, giggling when it casts green spots on the floor. When I pick her up to change her, she holds on tightly, not letting go of her special teether. I’m glad she finds comfort in it - it feels like a little part of her growing-up story.
