Art Magazine: "Mr. Kunz, your new work spectacularly blends two eras of contemporary art. What inspired you to merge Duchamp’s legacy with the visual language of Koons?"

Gottfried Kunz: "I’ve always admired how Duchamp took something functional and turned it into art. With 'Fountain Redux,' I wanted to celebrate that irreverence, but infuse it with the sense of possibility and joy that Koons’ balloons evoke. It’s about reclaiming radical gestures for our time - transforming taboo into delight."

Art Magazine: "Why place it by a building entrance instead of in the open park?"

Kunz: "That decision was intentional. Duchamp’s Fountain forced you to reconsider ordinary objects, so I wanted this piece to greet people as they step into their daily routines - presenting absurdity and grandeur before the workday even begins. It’s a gentle nudge into imagination."
